Owner-operator questions
Is this a job or a lease-on?
A lease-on. You stay an independent owner-operator and run your truck under the carrier's authority and Relay account.
Do I need my own MC authority?
No. That is the point: you run under an established carrier instead of building and insuring your own authority.
What does it pay?
You pay 12% of the gross. That covers dispatch, cargo insurance and the fuel card program. Everything is in writing before you sign.
Where are the loads?
Amazon Relay freight across the US. Lanes depend on where you are based, which is one of the first things we go through on the call.
Do you take power only owner-operators?
Yes. Tractors and power only units are both welcome. Box trucks are not a fit for these carriers.
What do I need to bring?
Your own tractor or power unit, a valid CDL-A and a reasonably clean recent record. Not sure you qualify? Sign up anyway; the call is free.
